Thanks for moseying on over to the Lincoln County Lawmen.

The Lincoln County Lawmen (LCL)  are a Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS) club in RI.  LCL CAS Matches are held the fourth Sunday of each month at the Pine Tree Gun Club in Foster RI.  The Lawmen also travel throughout Connecticut and  Massachusetts shooting at various North East CAS Matches

Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS) re-enacts shootouts of the “Old West”.

Shootouts are based on scenarios that took place throughout the 19th century “Old West”, either fact or fabled.

It is required that each shooter attempt to create an alias and dress the part.  The truly unique aspect of Cowboy Action Shooting is the requirement placed on authentic period dress.  Each participant is usually required to adopt an alias and develop a costume accordingly.  Any valiant attempt will be accepted, for example a plaid shirt with Jeans and a Cowboy type hat is acceptable.  Not acceptable however are baseball caps, sneakers, and camo fatigues.  That's a different shooting sport.

There are a wide range of shotguns, rifles, and revolvers that meet the requirements to shoot in the match, for detailed information please review Getting Started!

are affiliated with the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS).

The Single Action Shooting Society is an international organization created to preserve and promote the sport of Cowboy Action Shooting™, and seeks to protect its members' 2nd Amendment rights. SASS members share a common interest in preserving the history of the Old West and competitive shooting.

Scoring is based on using SASS standard ranking method of scoring.  Basically matches are scored upon elapsed shooting time and added penalty points, generally five seconds, for missed shots.
